Hi! I'm Stacey.
I'm a right-brained girl living in a (primarily) left-brained world. I'm a bargain-hunter, a painter, a sewer (sew-er, stitcher?)...but mostly a DIY-er. I spend a lot of my time working on all kinds of different projects, whether it be re-painting an old piece of furniture or making new pillowcases for my sofa. I'm always on the look-out for new ideas, so be sure to check back every once and awhile to see what I've been up to.
Some back-story on me if you're interested:
I've always been an artsy and creative person, even from a young age. I have sketchbooks starting back from as early as elementary school! I graduated college with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2008 with an emphasis in Fibers, so if you ever need to know anything about dying fabrics, embroidery, or screenprinting, I'm your gal.
My full-time job is working as an Assistant Print Production Manager at an ad agency, but I also teach painting classes a few nights a week at a local painting studio. I married my partner-in-crime Kevin on a brisk windy day in May of 2014. I have numerous wedding-related posts on here so make sure to check them out!
About four months after we got married (September 2014) we bought our first house. Since then we've been doing our best to update the place room by room to make it look and feel like 'ours'.
....and about a month after that, we got a puppy.
And if that wasn't enough, we also have my two cats (well, OUR two cats) Molly and Oliver.
So here we are: two newlyweds, two cats, and one dog living under one roof trying to navigate life together. It may not always be easy, but thankfully we have a pretty good sense of humor about things. Hope you'll join us for the ride!
